「手裏剣」とは日本の伝統的な暗器(隠して使う武器)の一つで投げたり突き刺して使うものでござる、小型で研ぎ澄まされた携帯用のこの武器は針や釘、包丁やさらには硬貨や洗濯板やその他平らな鉄板と言った様々な日用品の中から生まれました。
手裏剣は戦術的に戦いの中で重要な役割を担ったにもかかわらず、主に刀や槍と言った当時の主要な武器の補助的な意味で使われたのでござる。
